This blog will be quiet for a few days

For secret reasons.

Catching up with Garibaldi Resources (GGI.v)

Remember these jokers? The ones that used Palisade to successfully separate Eric Sprott from a portion of his net wealth? It's been a while, so let's recall a couple of the most recent messages from GGI about its 2018 drill campaign.

Assay results for 10 drill holes from this year's program have been reported by the Company and complete results are pending for an additional 22 holes which will be released in batches as soon as they are received, reviewed and interpreted.
And on reporting a few of those 22 (in which there was nothing special, as that price chart indicates), this from February 21st, 2019:
Assay results for the final 13 holes of the 2018 program (EL-18-34 through EL-18-46) are pending and will be released when received, reviewed and interpreted.
I can only assume the assay results were delivered to GGI in Swahili and they're having serious trouble with their interpreter. Impressively, that Feb 21st NR is the last thing we've heard from GGI, not a sausage for the last six weeks and counting. Anyone like to guess why GGI has sat on the results of 13 holes for at least 124 days (and counting)? What's that one about good news travelling quickly?

Cash costs at First Majestic's (AG) ( San Dimas mine

This mine is nearly half of First Majestic's (AG) ( total silver equivalent production profile. Link here, how it starts below:

San Dimas Miners Awarded 21.6% Pay Rise

La Jornada, Thursday April 4, 2019

Workers in sections 21 and 22 of the mine located in San Dimas, Tayolita, Durango, have been awarded a 21.6% average pay rise, according to their union representatives (Sindicato de Trabajadores Mineros, Metalúrgicos, Siderúrgicos y Similares de la República Mexicana (translation: Union of Miners, Metallurgists Steelworkers and Similar of The Mexican Republic)).

The result came from a re-negotiation of the collective workers' contract between union representatives and the owners of the mine, First Majestic, which also agreed to award the 45 workers now at retirement age with a bonus of 1m Pesos (U$52,750) and those workers under 65 years of age with a bonus of 20,000 Pesos (U$1,050) for every year worked to date.

Sandstorm Gold (SAND) and its U$1Bn market cap

You made it, Nolan. Milestone achieved.

And for the rest of us, it's not just a pretty round number. Crossing into the B territory means it's now eligible for a whole new swathe of US funds and instos.

The IKN Weekly, out now

I really like this photo

IKN515 has just been sent to subscribers. There's a trade in there somewhere.

PS: By the way, a few subscribers got their copies of The IKN Weekly diverted to their spam or trash folders last week. I do not know why, perhaps our internet overlords turning a new switch on. You know where I am if there's an issue.

Happy Geologists Day, everyone!

IKN learns that today, the first Sunday in April, is Geologists Day, the (and we quote), "...professional holiday of geologists, geophysicists and geochemists". So happy day to all my rockbanger friends and make sure you celebrate in traditional style, by eating canned tuna fish and boiled rice washed down with beer (please make a special effort to complain as loudly as possible today if the beer isn't at your exact preferred temperature). Here's a tune for you all:

Rock out! Youtube here.
